USE YOUR SMARTPHONE TO PAY FOR PARKING
- Use the PassportParking app in 3 Cleveland Heights parking garages: Cedar Fairmount, Cedar Lee, and Coventry.
- Quarters are still accepted in the parking garage meters.
- The hourly rate of 50 cents remains the same.
The app is very easy to use.
- If you have an Android or an iPhone, download the PassportParking app at Google Play or the App Store. You can also download it by going to ppprk.com.
- Once installed, set-up is easy – enter your personal information and a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) and you’re ready to start a parking session.
- You will need the zone number and the space number, which is noted on a decal on every parking meter. Enter the zone and space. The app will ask how long you want to park.
- For example: zone 1006, space 200, for 2 hours multiplied by 50 cents an hour = $1 plus a 35 cent convenience fee. Your credit card would be charged a total of $1.35.
- If you are in an office or restaurant, etc. and need to add more time to your parking meter, just open the app and add more time. (The convenience fee is only charged once per transaction).
- When purchasing parking time with the app, please note that the time you bought will not be displayed on the meter, as it would when paying with coins. The Police will see your mobile payment on their handheld device.
