Lead Safe Homes

THE LEAD SAFE CUYAHOGA PROGRAM IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

The City of Cleveland Heights, in partnership with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health wants to help you make your home lead safe. Many homes built before 1978 contain lead-based paint. Lead (Pb) by lead dust, is a heavy metal that can accumulate in the body and bones of children and adults possibly causing harm.

Items which may be addressed through the City's program include new replacement windows, doors and painting or other repairs.

Grants of up to $9,000 per dwelling unit are available. A minimum homeowner contribution of 10% of the project cost may be required. You must have children in the home aged 5 years or younger living or visiting more than 59 days a year to qualify. Household income limits apply.
