In December of 2022, City Council approved entering into a Purchase Agreement with TWG Development for the sale of City-owned property for the construction of a 52-unit affordable housing development. TWG’s application for housing tax credits was subsequently approved by the Ohio Housing Finance Authority in May of 2023 to help facilitate the project. The project has gone through an extensive design review and approval process since initially failing to get approval in Fall of 2023. That review and process included four community meetings and four focus group meetings. The project has received approvals from the Planning Commission (4/10/24) and Architectural Board of Review (4/18/24) in addition to receiving the necessary variances from the Board of Zoning Appeals (3/20/24).
