CURBSIDE RECYCLING IN CLEVELAND HEIGHTS

The City of Cleveland Heights provides weekly curbside recycling for city residents. Place your paper, cardboard, cans, glass, and plastic jugs and bottles in your recycling cart. DO NOT place your recyclables in bags. Contaminated recycling (bagged items, or any prohibited items listed below) will not be accepted.

ITEMS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED
Aluminum Cups: Empty and rinse. No Straws.
Cans: Empty and rinse.
Cardboard: Empty and flatten.
Cups (plastic): Empty and rinse. No straws. Discard lids.
Glass Bottles and Jars: Empty and rinse.
Paper and Boxes: Empty and flatten cardboard items and cereal boxes to save space.
Plastic Bottles, Jugs and Tubs: Empty and rinse. Replace the cap or lid. Includes items with an opening or neck narrower than the body.

Items should be empty, clean, and dry. Please rinse and clean all plastic, glass, and metal containers and flatten cardboard and boxes. Then, place recyclables loosely in your recycling cart.

ITEMS THAT SHOULD NOT BE PLACED IN YOUR RECYCLING CART
Plastic bags. Please take plastic bags to a grocery store for recycling.
Hoses, cords, wires, metal hangers, chains, or scrap metal. They will tangle the recycling machinery.
Batteries and electronics
Clothes. Please place any clothes that cannot be donated in your refuse cart.
Food or Liquid
Yard Waste
Styrofoam
E-waste/Technology Trash
